At HAPERT Trailers we choose to test all our innovations thoroughly. This also applies to the new composite floor. We have extensively tested the floor under the most common conditions of use, such as impact, tensile strength, shear loads, wear and climate conditions.
We are convinced that the buyer will ultimately save money with the composite floor. The trailer will be a few percent more expensive to buy, but this is offset by its long life and lower fuel costs. The plywood floor weighs ten to fifteen kilos per square metre, the composite four to six kilos. The use of composite can make a closed trailer lighter by a total of some 250 kg, and a tipper with a steel floor by as much as 120 kg. A lighter trailer can be driven more economically and generates fewer emissions.
